im officially warning my family now because im cooking dinner on sunday. i invited lara and jim so hopefully they can make it. althou i know its a long drive just to eat on a sunday night. the menu will be

salad
grilled green onions
gaucamole and chips
and margaritas
all i know is i shouldnt be the one doing the grochery shopping cause it would have been cheaper to just take them out to dinner lol.
well i just wanted to be the first in the family to make a post about it so I WIN lol. im an uncle again. if i remember right this makes me an uncle for the 5th time. that means i am getting good at this whole being an uncle thing lol. anyways Lucas Mitchell was born this morning around 430am alabama time. around 8 pounds and 22 inches long. i guess those are good stats i have no idea. he is healthy so thats the only stat thats important to me. so congrats to my brother and sister in law on there second baby and congrats to me for being an uncle again.
thanks for all the birthday wishes. thanks for my sister and brother for calling and for my sister to ummm sing to me. lol. thanks for all my firends that wished me a happy bday on my space and of course thanks to my parents for taking me out to eat.

Ok well now that the water cleared i had to show off a full tank shot. all of these are real plants.
my 2 babys and some algee yucky. sunday is tank cleaning day so that will be gone tomorrow. i never get a good picture of these 2 together cause the female is camera shy.
and since she decided to pose for me i couldnt resist taking a couple of shots. usually i only get the male so this was a rare oppertunity for me.
A show i enjoy is jon and kate plus eight. pretty funny show that i would recommed to anyone. i even got my mom watching it. for those who havent seen it, its about a couple who had twins then had 6 kids at once for a total of eight. althou this show is funny its not a comedy. its a real couple. the really funny part is im totally convinced my sister and brother in law are going to have 6 kids at one time. i hope im there when jim gets the news and passes out.
well brian my brother and little brian my nephew and my bundle of love flew home today. when i walk in the front door or come down the stairs and little b see's me and his eyes get big and he giggles and then races toward me, its nothing but pure joy and love. i love that little guy so much and he brings nothing but happyness and love to me and my family. and i got to spend some time with my brother which is something i always enjoy. we enjoy alot of the same things from food to games to paintball to movies and tv that it is so easy to hang out with him and i have so much fun doing it. i cant wait till next time i get to see them and hopefully my brother wont be scared to play paintball against me.
this is the newest picture. kind of shows off the new lighting which is very very bright. i had some other peices of wood in there but took them out as i wasnt happy with the look. i like this look alot better. when i finally get around to adding plants it will look great.
well lets see. i have added new lights. 110 watts total which is alot alot of lighting which means i should be able to grow pretty much any plant i want. it also means ill have to be very careful with keeping track of water conditions and fertalizers or i will have algee. dont want that. im hoping to be able to start adding plants in a week or 2 along with the shrimp. then after that i can add fish. then after that i can look into getting a bigger second tank. i have the room to add a 75-125g tank( they all measure the same length just diffrent hights. i want a 100 or 125g so we will see.
in non fish related news my brother and nephew come into town next saturday and im beyond excited. i really miss hanging out with my brother. i took monday and tuesday off to spend time with him and may be trading my saturday for a thursday so ill have all 4 days off my brother will be in town. wish he could stay longer but if things work out for him, him and his family will be moving back to cali and then i can shoot him with paintball guns...woot.
i love shark week. i love watching shows on killer animals like sharks, bears, lions and of course my ultimate favorite aligators. the shark on this episode was the greenwich shark or something like that. its a shark that lives under artic. it gets about 14-16 feet and has no natural enemys. basically its the great white of places that are frozen over. during the episode one of the researches said one of the stupidist things i have ever heard. they said they had to catch the shark and sometimes the shark dies but thats ok cause it helps us(humans) to learn how to keep the animal alive. hmmmm...i have a feeling this shark was living just fine before we ever discovered it. good chance its been living fine well before humans ever got into its area and even after humans discovered it. why all of a sudden do we have to catch and kill an animal that has been living just fine so we can learn to keep it alive. i know the answer to this. leave it alone and it will live just fine without our help.
now that i have shown you that. i gotta show you kinda what i want to end up doing.
that is a 33 gallon aquarium so only slightly larger then mine. i love how that looks so it got me to think and have decided to change the way my aquarium is going to look. that fish tank looks like a rain forest. i love it. now dont ask me how but that tank only took 2nd place at some aquarium contest. and those are all real plants, rocks and wood. and fish of course

if you havent figured out im really into this whole aquarium thing. besides changing the look i had thought of for my aquarium i have kinda changed my mind on the fish too.

once again sorry i havent been updating as much as i should. but this pretty much wraps up what i have been up to lately.
well not much has been going on. been waiting for my aquarium to reach the 2nd phase of bactira growth which happened today. yay me. happends between day 5 and day 14 usually and today is day 7.
the process is ammonia( which i added to the tank) then a bactira eats that and turns it into nitrite. then a diffrent bactira eats that and turns it into nitrate. ammonia and nitrite are very lethal to fish which is why i dont have fish yet. in a tank its the fish poo which makes the ammonia. so what im doing now is getting to the nitrate stage which produces the bactira that gets rid of the bad stuff so when i add fish i will have that bactira already.
i really wish i had my camera thou( shoudl be back some time next week i hope). the tank is crystal clear right now with 2 peices of wood one small and one really big and a rock. but my favorite part right now is the splash of water from the filter which is really relaxing.
Yay im back. looks like i got my computer situation all figured out. See school is good for something. Computer problems drive me crazy. im someone who spends alot of time on the computer and so computer problems well drive me crazy lol.
lets see whats been going on:
4th of july.
went to my brother in laws parents house to celebrate with his family and my family. for the most part it was a nice relaxing day. most people complained about the heat but id rather be hot then cold. i dont do cold well so heat is always welcome. i do have one story from the 4th.
one of jims family members( not sure of exact relations) had a little baby. 3-4 months old i think but am not really sure. anyways all the ladies were playing with the baby, bouncing it up and down and making it giiggle as babys like to do when not sleeping or crying. after 3 or 4 of the ladies got tired of bouncing the baby up and down they asked me if i wanted to watch the kid. not thinking about how much the baby had been bouncing up and down((( notice a trend here with the word bouncing up and down?))) i said id hold the baby for a little bit. well it didnt take long for the baby, who btw had been doing an awful lot of bouncing up and down by the 3 ladies who handed the baby over to me, to decide to put his head on my shoulder....and proceed to barf all over me.
now i wanna say this. my lil b who is related to me and lets be honest he tends to drool alot and has drooled on me has not barfed on me once. and he is related. related barf while not fun is acceptable. unrelated baby barf on the other hand is not fun lol.
so my first officail rule in my blog is related baby barf is fine. unrelated baby barf i can do without.
so that was friday the 4th of july. on saturday the 5th of july i went to work and had to leave work early to back problems. ....... .... .... ok now that you feel sorry for me, i faked it so i would get my holiday pay but could leave work to go up to my sister and brothers house up the hill to watch the big ufc fight. the fight was great but the house was really loud. and really loud houses are typically not my thing. but i got to watch the fight and had a good time. i stayed up the hill for the night and crashed at lara's house. the next morning ( really afternoon ) when people woke up i was sitting around on the couch talkign to my sis when a wishie came floating thru her house. it went around her living room and then floated right to me. if that isnt a sign from the wishie fairy i dunno what is.
on another note i wish i had my camera. i loaned it to my parents who have started there annual summer vacation. i have started a new hobby/project and wish i could take pictures of the progress. i got myself a 30 gallon aquarium and am in the process of gettign it ready to add live plants and fish to. its kinda a long process so if my sister stops by sometime soon hopefully she will have her camera and i can get a couple pre plant and pre fish shots. aquariums with like plants are amazing because they change as the plants grow and get pruned so the tank never looks the same. im really excited about the possabilities. ill keep you posted. right now the water is just runnign thru the filter and making umm stuff in the water so the fish and plants can live healthy when they are added to the tank.
sorry i havent posted for a little while. having computer problems. once i get it figured out i have some things to post about.

1...i have worn a dress twice and ruined a good pair of high heels one of the times.
yes it was for holloween both times. the problem was i wore it the first time when i was 14 and the second time when i was 18. why is that a problem you asked. because when i was 14 the outfit fit fine. between 14 and 18 i had alot of growth spurts. the second time i wore it i had to use saftey pins because it was a very very short dress at that point. the first time i wore it i wore my moms high heels and ran around the neiborhood. i gotta admit thou i could run pretty fast in those suckers but they were tore up when i was done
so i got an email tonight with a link to a blog of someone who had visited my blog. the language is not english but the pictures are just amazing.just goes to show you a picture is worth a 1000 words in any language

so i decided to color my hair. been a couple years since i did. i am now some shade of blonde.
while doing it, i skimmed thru the instructions. mix packed 1 into bottle ... check. mix packit 2 into bottle .. check. shake.. check. from shake its always apply to hair. ok check. let sit for awhile check. skim over instruction before washing out ... oppsy. and just for the record oppsy is not a good thing. after shake it is add liquid something and shake again. i forgot that part.
let me tell you i for a minute had thoughts of my hair falling out. from there its rinse off fast and pray. so for now i still have all my hair. if i have a blog post tomorrow titled bald you will know why.
ok let me start by saying nothing good can ever come from 2am channel surfing. on that note i did run into something that made me laugh.
ran across a cartoon on adult swim. the channel that has family guy and aqua teen hunger force on late at night.
funny part #1:
kid is talking to his dog right before he goes into the house. he tells the dog " stay outside. nothing bad ever happens to the dog... except that dog on tuner and hooch." he starts to close the door and turns around and tells the dog " dont be a houch"
funny part #2:
door bell rings and the kid is carrying a toy gun. kid says " who is it" man behind the door says " mail man". kid says " go away". mail man says " rain sleet or snow i deliver and no snot nosed kid will stop me" kid responds with " im 2 years old, i havea gun and im at crotch level"
i still chuckle. but like i said nothing good can come from channel surfing at 2 am.
